Report on past Lakes District Arts Council Projects

Here are some comments about 2025 LDAC projects:
From William Konkin Elementary School, about Where Have All The Buffalo Gone?:
“It was an excellent show with an amazing message, and I was absorbed from the beginning!”
“I was stopped by a kindergartener in the hall, so she could tell me it was the best thing she had ever watched.”
From the LDSS Humanities 8 class:
“We liked how romantic it was, and how the buffalo was dressed.”
“The story was interesting and the lights and sounds were cool.”
From a recent LDSS scholarship winner:
“The scholarship is more than financial help – it’s encouragement. I’m truly grateful for your kindness and belief in students like me.”
From the principal of Decker Lake Elementary School:
“We loved Karima Essa’s positive energy and enthusiasm for dance. She led wonderful workshops that were engaging and inclusive. Our children loved performing at the end of the day for their peers. We would love to see Karima back at DLES again someday.”
From the organizer of the Fall Fair Children’s Festival:
“I had people tell me that they were very impressed with Karima’s dancing and her amazing level of fitness. The children who had met her in the schools were so excited to see her at the Fall Fair! I was impressed with Karima’s competency and her positive attitude. I felt that she was able to engage the audience well. I also appreciated how she became part of our fair, meeting people and watching different aspects of our Fair program.”
